I hit the confluence at Clarkston on Saturday morning with my friend Matt. We were on the water at 7:30 am and poles wet by 8:00 am. We used the standard bobber set up with sand shrimp colored pink. This was my first steelhead outing and I didn't know what to expect. Lines were wet when I got the itch to check my bait, I reeled about 5 times when slam, fish on! He gave me 4 great leaps out of the water and fought hard. Got him in the boat!!! I am in the Steelhead club.
What a fun fish to catch, strong and pretty colors!!

About 45 minutes after the catch the wind picked up and the fishing went south. Too bad cause we wanted to get after it alot longer than 4 hours.

Can't wait to come back. Hopefully soon.

Keep rippin lips everyone!!

Welcome to the Club! :) In a couple weekends I'll be headed down to the snake (more towards the mouth) so hopefully the fish will still be biting!
