Made the drive up to Seaton's Grove Launch this AM. THANKS to the guys who shared their advice on the launce area, it was helpful. Ran down to the first set of pens and fished the back side of them and a little above, Caught one about 3 pounds (C&R) on a fly that "Toni" mailed us. It was like the Purple bodied one in the pics she shared. THANKS Toni!! Released the lil guy and got a couple more hits on it, but Cindy didn't get any hits on it. We went across the river and fished the shoreline casting jigs to the shore and working them back to the boat. We picked up a couple of native trout--largest about 20-22 inches. What a fight, beautiful fish. Both were released to fight another day. We went back over to the upper pens, and cindy picked up a nice one (4# 15oz), so one in the live well. Played around there awhile and no hits so we ran down to the middle pens. Fished above them with no hits and worked our way around and down below them. First cast below the pens and Bam, Fish on. Fought it around for awhile and got to eyeball it, but it came loose before the net. Nice fish, estimated it above 10#. Oh well, nice adrenaline rush. We ended up keeping our limit, and caught two of them on the pellet fly, and the other two on dark jigs.Cindy and I had to work harder than usual to get them today, but it was a great day on the water, and nice fish in the brine for the smoker. Say several other boats bait fishing and saw some fish netted, and talked with some guys at the middle pens who mentioned the rangers were checking the shore anglers and watching the boats with binocs. Good to hear they are active. While fishing the upper pens, one of the company boats came up from below and motored up along the lower end telling people to keep away from the nets and bouys, and while we were at the middle pens the same guy (may have been the owner or superviser) was heard telling the boats to stay "a hundred yards away". I don't think that request is gonna fly. We were pretty close, and he came over and talked with us for a bit, and said he was tired of having to untangle the treble hooks out of the nets when he did his diving inspection. I can see where it could be a hazard to anyone who was diving and doing repair work on the nets, so to those who fish around the nets, Show some respect (not necessarilly the 100 yds) and try not to get tangled in the nets. I have been hearing Loui that they are going to put a Buoy Line to keep boats from being able to get close to the Pens because of the danger it is creating for the divers..Have you heard this???? oh ya nice fish you guys

Haven't heard it Joe, but there are new buoys being put in, and it would be easy to to put cable or rope between them to discourage the boats from getting close. But then the question would be "How close is too close". I'm sure it would be a great topic for discussion when/if it happens. Since the divers go down infrequently, If they would put out the diver's flag when they're down it should alleviate the "Danger of the boats" to the divers. I have been at the middle pens a few years back when a couple of divers were inspecting the nets. They did not have out diver flags or even have a coworker monitoring the boats. There wasn't anyone else in the area that day so maybe they felt safe. We just moved to another area. Stay safe Joe and hope to see ya on the water soon.

Glad to hear it caught something. I am sorry that the 10 got away. Those kept fish are still amazing!
