Fish Rufus alot, thought I better start posting reports. Had the great pleasure of meeting Bluefin Louie for the first time. I'd seen him there before but never had the chance to talk to him. Great guy and very generous with info and and baits! Thanks Louie. Friday was very good, boated 15 or 20 fish trolling rapalas and throwing 1/4 oz. black rooster tail's in shallow water. Lots of fish in the 4 to 7 lb. range and the one in the picture which was just under 12 lbs. Saturday was a little slower but still managed around 10 fish including the 10 lb'r in pic 2, caught all of them on the black rooster tail on Sat., none trolling. Water as at a standstill all day on Saturday, which, as usual, meant slower fishin'...Good luck and tight lines.

Hi, In reference to your trolling, where you fishing on top of the water or off downriggers. Am headed over there in a couple of weeks and I troll more than anything. I fish rappalas and rippin minnows at Roosevelt on top about 150' behind the boat. Thanks,DannyP

Hi Tredfish,
Been waiting for your report, BlueFin said it'll be forthcoming. Those are some damn nice fish, thanks for the report and details. Now, were you fishing near Chief Joe dam or up by the pens? I'm thinking of going out right after the holidays and trying to figure out where best to launch from.

DannyP and dockhan, we were Trolling on top with rapalas about 125 feet back. But the black rooster tails outfished them. We fished the shallow water areas between pumps 2 and 4 most of the time and that's where we caught most of our fish.

What does "boated 15 or 20 fish" and "managed around 10 fish including the 10 lb'r in pic" mean? Doesn't Rufus Woods still carry a 2 fish limit?

It does have a 2 fish limit, but you can catch and release as many as you want as long as you're not using bait or scent.

"Boated" means fish were released next to the boat on artificial lures.

"Boated" means to place IN a boat. "Released" means to let go. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/boated

Tredfish, I think I speak for the majority here when I say that we all greatly appreciate you taking the time to start sharing your fishing experiences on this site. I visit here often, and this is a very good community of anglers who are alot of fun to share fishing stories back and forth with. Please don't let one jerk like FishFearMe discourage you from making future posts. His type is very rare here. Thanks again and happy fishing!

{http://www.thefreedictionary.com/dissension} dis·sen·sion (d-snshn) n. Difference of opinion; disagreement. *******************
{http://www.thefreedictionary.com/discord} dis·cord (dskôrd) n. 1. a. Lack of agreement among persons, groups, or things. *******
b. Tension or strife resulting from a lack of agreement; dissension. ********************************************************************

I didn't have any trouble understanding the meanig of "Boated" in this instance, so therefore I didn't need to use the dictionary to find the meaning of its use in the report. BUT what I did go to the dictionary for is the meaning of the words "dissension and discord" as that is what I perceived as the aim of the comment. I could be wrong as my Perception is that of my own, AND everyone has an individualized "Perception". The report on the fishing at Rufus Woods is a great report, AS it was a totally difference experience than I had while fishing on the lower end of Rufus Woods the same time period. With this Report, The readers (members of WL (and guests) had the oppertunity to view the results of two different experiences. If only my report for the day was on the list, everyone would have thought the fishing sucked on the lower end. As it is we know there are fish biting AND the techniques used to make it so. ALSO if you wish to post negative comments relating to MY comment, Please do so with a PM, I will post our conversation at a more appropriate forum than on the fishing reports.. Thanks again Tredfish for reporting on the successful fishing at Rufus Woods, where Me and my fishing partner got skunked. WAY TO GO

Wow. I guess Tredfish didn't have access to www.thefreedictionary. FishFearMe - you joined in 2007. You've posted 0 fishing reports. You've posted on our Forums 6 times in two years. Lighten up. Or start posting fishing reports so we can dissect your grammar.

You know, I've said this before - the guys that take the time to send in reports and pictures are doing an invaluable service, and without them this site wouldn't exist. Thank you all for supporting Tredfish and others that post their reports.
