Headed out to Silver for the first time this year had the car "loaded for bear" finally got the new ice shack set up and went to drill a hole and then i realized my buddy hit a rock the last yearo n the last weekend we used it fishing on amber, needless to say it wouldve taken me all day to drill a hole. Met a nice fishermen who lent me his auger and i punched a few holes. Got the shack set up ( the wind and glaze ice made it a challenge) and dropped the vexlar down the hole and was putting new line on all of my jig sticks when i looked down to see about a 40-45 inch tiger musky staring at my transducer just a6 inchers or so below the ice this was a first for me I've never had a fish come and check the transducer before that ive noticed anyway ( i was in about 30ft of water). Anyway starting catching the little guys left and right after i changed holes didn't end up with anything of any size but had a good time and was in good company out on the ice all day.Fished from about 1-330 in the afternoon. heading out to Rufus Woods for the first time early in the morning to try and get one of thos big trips!!!
