The crappie have definitely moved into the shallows to start spawning. I caught plenty of them in only an hour and a half of fishing from 3:30 to 5. I was using an Uncle Walts jig, Color: yellow with red sparkles and a nugget of crappie nibbles powerbait to add scent. I fished on a dock right by the restaurant Cucina Cucinas. I caught easily enough to eat but lake union is filled with pollution even a sign is posted that reads: watch out for sewage overflows. I didn't catch any today, but there are also good numbers of perch here that turn on a little later. I've also caught bass. If you live right in Seattle and you have maybe an hour or two to spare lake union is close and filled with panfish. Good Luck!
