But, if you can locate the fish, fast moving (relatively speaking due to cold water) baits like cranks and spinnerbaits (slow rolled) can produce some big ones. Its more of a reaction strike than anything. I also like to target bass that I can see with deadsticked soft jerk baits like banjo minnow or flukes. Cast ahead of cruisers, twitch a little, then let it die. Sometimes it takes more than a full minute before they hit. But, they tend to be larger fish when they do.

2/4/2010 12:14:00 PMI went back out there yesterday and the bass were still there! I also wad a little rainbow swim right up to the boat.
