So after 10 days with no boat, and another 5 days before the work is done and I get it back, and the weather getting nicer and nicer, I finally snapped! Grabbed my buddies 12' Jon boat and headed out, anywhere, I just needed to float!! Decided first to check out little Bryant Lake right on Hwy 9, since it is carry in only, and I had the access to a smaller boat I figured why not try it...

So after dragging the thing the 50 or so yards to the water sled dog style! LOL I started fishing the north end. Tried that for about an hour and a little breeze picked up, and since the little Jon boat blows around like a feather, I rowed down to the South end and tried fishing my way back north along the east shore, no nothin'!

Got to where I would row south and then work baits back across the lake to the east side, then row back, and after about three hours with no action, I decided to sled dog the thing back to the truck and head north to Clear Lake.

Had no electronics to speak of so no water temp info, or depth, although I would guess the middle to be around 10-12' deep?? Water is stained redish like Lake Cassidy.

I have a 12 ft jon boat for the same thing, but my "nice boat" is a 8ft livingston. I have a sonar that I mounted to a piece of wood then "c" clamp to back of boat so I can use in both boats. Spring is on the way!

Hey,8,I used to fish here quite a bit. It's better in a float tube and easier to carry in.But anyways,do you know about all the cutthroat in that lake. You can catch a lot of little bass, but anything of size very hard to come by.They are stunted in there.Same with the trout. If you just drift around with a bobber and piece of worm. You will catch fish all day.I think if a bunch of those small Largemouths were taken out and put in some bigger lakes that they could strive in.It would be good for both lakes. The bass could grow in Bryant. It is a cool little lake.
