Hit Horseshoe about 1:30 pm. Sun was out and about 60 degrees. Strong east wind blowing on shore at the park, making casting difficult. Group I was in were all using chartreuse power bait/power eggs. During the 1 1/2 hours there I landed a 10" stocked rainbow, and saw 5 larger fish brought in.

The park on the north end was very well attended today, but anglers didn't have to climb over each other to get a decent patch of water.

During the first hour I just cast out and let the bait soak on the bottom with no luck. At least I don't think I was getting bites...the wind made rod tips wiggle and line blow around. Once I started a VERY slow retrieve dragging the sinkers across the bottom, then started getting and feeling hits with the tight line. Lesson learned.

As always, whether I caught a limit or not, there was no place better to be.
