First off let me start out by telling you i went here on friday and had a good day of fishing, didnt catch any but still it was relaxing. talked to an old timer there and he told me he was using a brown spinner bait and he caught seven that day. I was kinda skeptical because I know how fishermen can tell stories, but I went and bought a pack of rooster tails and got a wide array of colors. I figured i would try the brown one and after an hour of casting and reeling I finally hooked into my first trout! it was a huge one about 6 inches long and hung like a grizzley bear!!! and Im thinking to my self,(dude this is fun). after releasing the beast i made a couple more casts and bammm!!! another one!! not sure if it was the same one but it was the same size. Then it went quiet for about an hour and then I hooked into another one!!!! I losened my dragg up for these brutes hoping they would make my reel sing, that was awesome hearing it zing acouple of times. Then i moved over to my other secret spot ( if you dont believe me just ask anyone ) and Bamm another soaker!! now U gotta realize being fron Alaska and fishing for salmon and big butts Im used to using huge gear....ill tell you what when I used this lil baby gear I felt like I was goin to break it.. And when I caught these guys today it made me feel like these were huge fish. It was aewsome.
