Headed out to Eloika for the first time this year. I went out mainly to scout around for good spawning sites and other structure. I was hoping to maybe catch a couple of bass, but that didn't happen. I did, however, catch a little rainbow trout. Its seems that nothing else was really biting on the lake yet. I talked to one gentleman who did hook into a nice size bass in three feet of water, but it got off. I cannot wait for the bass to get going. The water temperature was anywhere from 41 to 44-45 degrees depending on the time of day and location. Other than that, it was a beautiful day.
