After giving up on bass fishing, I started trolling for trout. Had done up some homemade pop gear, so wanted to test it's action. Water temp was somewhere between 43-49 degrees....I'll guess on the higher end. Wasn't marking much on the finder, but trolled around the middle of the lake and kept my gear between 25 to 40 feet using the downrigger. Tried various setups from jointed rapalas and flatfish to a wedding ring. Not so much as a hit. Quite a few people fishing from the park and saw one average RB landed there from a guy who was fishing bait on the bottom. All the other boat and float tube guys I talked to hadn't seen any action. Left at noon. Beautiful day. Didn't catch any fish but got a couple of good pictures of the sun coming through the trees and fog.
