Read that Angle Lake was stocked so I thought I'd give it a try since it is close to home. Got there at 6:30am and the gates were still locked so I went to Jack in the Box to eat. Came back, still locked out but as I was sitting there someone came and unlocked the gates so I was in before 7:00. Well I guess I should have stayed in bed where it was warm. Caught one little, little guy about 20 minutes in. Didnt even know I had a fish on, was reeling in to change colors and there he was. I was using red power eggs on a 3 ft leader. From then on I used eggs, bobbers, and rooster tails with no luck. One other fisherperson joined me about an hour later. He caught one using a 6 ft leader and power eggs, it was a giant also.. can you say fishstick. Well after 2.5 hours of freezing in the 40 degree cold & wind I packed it in. Was surprised thou, usually when Angle gets stocked the dock is packed, maybe everyone is smater than me...:)
