Me and my freind launched out of roz at the main boat launch. wind was really rippin so we decided we might as well troll its a little easier to fish that way in the wind. So i was running a 1 1/2 needle fish black and white with about 4 feet of leader one medium split shot about 50 feet behind the boat. Chris was running black and green wedding ring with worm about 3 feet of leader way back behind the boat. We got doubles right off the bat, within 3 mins of getting out. both about 13 14 inchers nice ones,. So we circled back around the floating dock right out side of the launch.. Nothing so we headed on our path to the other park on the northside. chris managed another trout on wedding ring. then it went silent for a a bit. the wind was ripping making it so unenjoyable. I could barly get my smoke lit.. Long story short switched over to a tiny spin n glow with some beads. and had some serious strikes trolling it. switched back over tyo needlefish and we managed a few more trout, I think the season is already starting to kick in, Lots of risers when the wind died down surface feeding like crazy, and didn't have my fly rod of course.
