3/22/2010 5:40:00 AMArrived at Rock @ 7am 3-19-10 . Started to fish off the bank and was approached by a hiker reminding us the Rock lake is not open for fishing until the 3rd Saturday in April this year. Bummer. Close call.

3/22/2010 6:33:00 AMRead the regulations and don't listen to "KNOW IT ALL / KNOW NOTHING'S, ridgerooster...Rock Lake is open YEAR ROUND. I always carry a copy of the Reg.'s in my vehicle.

3/22/2010 6:52:00 AMThanks for your input T-Bone, but after reading the pamphlet, I read where it says " If the lake is not listed under the heading-East side Lakes-Special rules, that means it is automatically 'State wide rules and regulations. That means normal opening date-April 18th. And Rock lake is not listed under Eastside Lakes-special rules. Now we are really confused.

3/22/2010 2:24:00 PMJust to throw this out there, I have a feeling that if it was not year round then the GW would be all over it, something about 20+ boat trailers in the parking lot and ten or so people fishing from shore really make me think that it's open. That's a lot of potential revenue and I've never known them to skip out on that.

"Lakes, Ponds and Reservoirs are open to fishing for game fish (except dolly varden/bull trout and grass carp) year-round". unless listed by body of water in the pamphlet.
