It continues to be work to get those Mackinaw to bite. We are fishing the Bar early then hitting the holes in the indeterminate flat between the Bar and Rocky Point. The trench produced some fish later in the day, but it was work. It's also worth a peak to troll below the monumebt around Sunnybank in 150' of water plus or minus 20'. Mostly speeds between 1.3 and 1.7 were successful. The venerable Luminous Chartreuse Flatfish in the U20 size was the most successful lure. Ace Hi Flies by Silver Horde baited with strips of herring cured and dyed with Pautzke's Fire Cure and Kokanee Fuel caught some fish too. We had to really grind our presenation into the bottom. With these spring fronts blasting through, it can be frustrating to get them to bite. Persistence pays... Rex Rogers was nice enough to bring his son and grandkids out with our guide, Andy, to fish. It sure was a lovely day on the lake. And some fish for the grill too!
