I fished Evergreen for the first time in 30 years on Wednesday. The water temps started out at 46 degrees and climbed to 53.5 degrees by 7:00 p.m. I tried trolling for walleyes , drop shotting, cranks, and spinnerbaits most of the day. I spent most of the day just getting to know the lake again.
I finally found warmer water at 5:00 pm and started in on a plastic lizard. I hit 2 fish in an hour with neither one landed. It was a great way to spend a breezy warm afternoon. The boats ready, the fish are almost ready, and a new season is upon us.
