Hit the lake at about 9 this morning. Launched out from Higgins Point and headed to Wolf Lodge Bay. Fished unsuccesfully with smelt, herring and skinned perch. Tried with a bobber at various depths under the surface as well as right off of the bottom of the lake. Left there at about 1:30 and made our way to cougar bay. Tried there with same method for about an hour and a half in different locations of the bay with no success. Made a very slow troll from Cougar Bay to Kidd Island bay in 9-18 of water. Used rapala, flat fish and a big spinner bait with no success. Shot back out to Wolf Lodge Bay to finish up the last part of day. No success. Did see one guy from bank haul in about a 16 inch pike with Hearing. Lake level about 7 feet low right now. Some murky water but a lot of clear. Did not even manage to see any fish. Hopefully it gets better soon. water temps ranged from 41-44 degrees.
