Hit lake goodwin launched about 7:30 am. Headed to the northwest side of the lake in the shallow rocky area. Fancasted crankbaits for about 20 mins no takers wind blowing pretty good had to head to the cove on the east side right behind us to get out of the wind my little 14 jon boat was getting hammered. My buddy in the picture nailed a 5.9lb bass off the end of a deeper water dock with a perch colored rapala crankbait at about 8:30 caught a couple trout on accident too in the cove. Wind was blowing pretty good so we decided to call it a day at about 11.
Headed back to the lake at 3:00 for some more fishing!! Back to the northwest shallow rocky area hoping to hook up with some smaillies covered the area for about an hour nothing! Threw crankbaits mostly trying to cover alot of ground. Headed to the northeast sided of the lake second cast my buddy hooks up with a 4.5 lb smallie same lure perch colored rapala this fish was in about 10 feet of water it was a fattie. Missed a couple fish but that was it. Pretty good day for my friend but he is no longer allowed in my boat.
This is my first post found this site just the other day and I read some great reports on local lakes I fish from 8theb8 and buzzbait. Thanks
