Caught this 7lb 7oz Largemouth on a Swimming Senko, Texas Rigged with a 3/8 worm sinker in front of an old dock. My fishing bud caught a 3lb 3oz Large before I caught this big girl. The water level is up, the water is stained and yes not muddy. Slow and then slower was the ticket for today. The water temp was 46 degrees on the surface in most places. Not one small mouth on the day. Largemouth, Trout, and Pike Minnow were all that we caught. The Rainbow was caught on a Baby Bass colored jointed crank. It was a tough day on the water with the wind, only saw one other boat. Saw a deer swimming in the middle of the river directed her toward the shore and when she got there she ran into the woods, she struggled I was amazed she made it. I took some pics, never seen that before. Should be a good year on Long, very few dead heads unlike the last couple years, this will be a Go To this year.

That's a dandy! Where abouts on the lake did you find the trout?

I caught the LM by a dock in shallow water in a small cove near deep water. The Trout are few and far between at Long, the Trout was caught past the DNR heading towards the Dam north side, trolling 1.5, about 150 ft behind the boat.

if I caught a 7.5 lb fish I would probably only give it a 3 star day too...I hate dealing with those small ones...lol good work...cant wait for smallmouth to start hitting cranks...oh and then top water!!! I love it!!!
