we headed over Friday morning and fished all day Friday and Saturday. In all fairness to the lake, two things went wrong for us.
a. fish finder died when we arrived. (doh)
b. did not take down riggers for some reason (originally intended on chasing the Maks)
Our neighbors at lakeshore rv park caught 3 nice maks mooching out by rocky point. We tried mooching, drop shotting, and some trolling, but it was all in vain and we were kind of shooting in the dark without the riggers or finder.
Moved inland and worked the shoreline, about 4 miles worth on the north and south sides of the lake. I caught this guy on my trusty old dropshot with the small brown sniper worms (roughly 2-3" i think?). We saw more, one nice one, and a couple smaller ones crusing the shallows up in chelan around the bridges, but otherwise this was all we boated. Luckily, I wore my Mariner's sweatshirt. By now you may have noticed almost every picture I've posted of me holding a bass I'm wearing that shirt :P
all in all, good weather, low tourism, nice lake, GREAT little RV park, empty marina. It was a fun 2 days. and at least I got one.
