Just an FYI here.... I had to install some new bunks on my trailer today, which obviously required getting the boat off the trailer, so I went up to the launch at Lake Howard knowing no one would be there since it's closed until this Saturday's opener.....I launched the boat and man what an algae bloom!! This is normally a very clean clear lake, but there are clumps and clumps of algae floating in the water down to about 5 feet!! I don't know how this will affect the freshly planted trout? Or if it will at all? But just wanted to throw my observation out there for what it's worth....

For anyone thinking that I'm just trying scare people away so I can have the lake to myself on Saturday, sorry but I will be heading for Pothole's Resevoir Saturday morning for 5 days...
