Did really well on Chambers Lake On the 18th so thought I would try Offut Lake. With the frount moving in thought fish would be on the bite. Got to public launch at about 11a.m. Water at launch was 60 degrees with a little greenish tint. Trolled across lake with electrics to far side with no line down and on the 3rd cast hooked a nice bass along side of sumberged log. Thought maybe logs so fished logs for the rest of the day and caught 2 Largemouth over 4 1/2 pds each and a couple of smaller one in the 2 and 3 pd range. Lost a couple of nice bass too couldn't get them out of logs Lure for the day was a black homemade boggie type bait. High water temp for the day was 63 degrees and lowest 55. Fish were feeding until about 2:30 in the afternoon when the wind started blowing so hard that white caps were showing. Wind did die down after a bit but fish had turned off to the bite. Fish were releashed unharmed inb frount of people at Offut Lake Dock.
