4/20/2010 9:43:00 AMTrout were 12 to 14 inchers but did get one 16'' and a 20''. I only fished for trout for a hour and a half. The trout fishing in the south end of lake is excellent right now.

Hit the lake at 600am and headed across the lake to fish the point. The wind was blowing there and nothing biting so i headed to the south end of the lake to get out of the wind. 10 minutes in the first cove and i get this nice 3# smallie. That was the only bite in that cove. Went to the next cove and the second cast i get a little 8 incher, hooked a 2# largemouth 2 minutes later. 5 minutes after the last fish i get another 2# smallie. I ended up getting about 10 bass today. All the bass were caught on a topwater torpeto. Also had the fly rod with me and hooked 6 trout on a dry fly. The trout are all over the south end of lake feeding on chronomids. Caught cutts and bows on a parachute chronomid. Fishing was great today.
