Went down to Angle lake near Sea-tac earlier today.....didn't like the looks of it too much (low vis water, lots of garbage around shore and in water, foul odor in the air, limited public bank fishing acces)..... picked up and ran north ... stopped in for lunch at home in Seattle to save a couple bucks....... headed on up to gissberg pond south (complete whim when reading through WA guide book)... arrived around 2:30 to sunny calm day on the water.... to say that this little Snohomish County Park pond is popular would be an understatement of fairly generous proportions..... probably 40-50 other bank fisherman around the shore.... found a little nook that was unoccupied and had a couple of 8 inchers on within 15 minutes........around 4:30 the trout went ballistic (for me at least.....talked to many others who had been sprayed by the proverbial skunk).....wound up landing trout on everything from worm & bobber to kastmasters to roostertails to powerbait... gave all eight of them ( 8in-13in ) to a couple of youngsters who were fishing with push-button zebco casters (about 6 and a half feet from shore).... kept the only triploid (approx. 1.5lb 16in) all in all a rewarding early season day of fishing......
question: So a rumor I heard is that their are some pretty impressive channel catfish in this little pond....can anyone confirm? . . . . Heard the same rumor about LMB..........
