I started fishing at 8:30am and the weather was cloudy, calm and the air temperature was 56. Water temp was 53. I caught 2 trout by 9:30 trolling. I fished some docks for a short period with a jig with out any bites. The wind came up on and off the rest of the time I was there. I used my 2 pole endorsement trolling a woolly bugger on one (just a swivel for weight) and a lure (shinny) with weight on the other. I only caught fish on the fly or fake worm (1) that I trolled. Olive bugger was more popular than any other color or fly. I caught more than a limit in the 4 hours I was there only keeping the last fish that was 14ΒΌ inches and almost a pound.

Nice report, Toni. Glad to see you take advantage of the 2 pole endorsement. Was fishing with the jig an attempt to target bass?

Yes I was fishing it like I would for bass...but I also thought that big trout might be hanging out where bass were.

Good idea Toni. There were a couple of reports from bass fisherman catching trout the past couple of weeks

Hey Toni. I was the guy out in the Kayak that day. Ended up with 3 in boat, but lost about a dozen. I will try sharper hooks next outing.

Hendog I have to sharpen my hooks on the woolly buggers I was using. I was missing them too.
