Went to Fish Lake on opening weekend after having an tremendous experience there last year. Couldn't make opening day yesterday, but went out this AM with my son. We caught tiger trout and brook trout. Caught about 10 fish, but was disappointed in the size compared to last year's outing. Kept only 2, one brookie and one tiger, both about12 inches. The rest were tiger trout that ran about 10 inches. We started with chartreuse wedding rings and a worm trailer behind a dodger. Had some success, catching about 5. After a while, the bite slowed. Switched to my fly rod with sinking line and trolled a black wooley bugger. Caught 4 fish in a row crossing the length of the lake. They were all throwbacks, but fun to catch nonetheless. Marked a few larger fish on the finder, but most of what I saw on the screen was consistent with what we were catching.
