Not much to say other than it was a tough day fishing. Surface temps were around 57 to 58 degrees and the wind was brisk and coming out of the East. Worked the West side of the lake at depths from the surface to 35 feet with nothing but one exciting takedown. That came on a UV Kokanee killer fished just below the surface. Saw another boat land 2 fish dragging large popgear. I crossed the lake around noon and the wind really started to pick up speed. Spotted a few small kokes jumping 2 thirds of the way across to the island, so I worked the area a bit with no luck. Having the two pole endorsement, I managed to run through a bunch of gear and nothing I had seemed to work at any speed or any depth. A bit dissapointing, but hey that's fishing. I did note that the algae was very thick from a few feet below the surface down to about 10-15 feet. It left a nice coating on my downrigger and fishing line so those kokanee should be feasting and putting on the weight.

Note: I did mark what appeared to be several large schools of fish near the bottom in around 55 feet of water. My inital though was perch, but they should be shallower and just about done spawning by now. Guess I should have dropped a jig down there to see what they were.
