Great opening day on the lake. Lots of people up there, only one rude couple at boat launch (older lady and man in big dodge ram pickup) parked right next to water. They yelled at a six year old boy in a boat. It is a boat launch people...boats go in and out there all day :) Other than that irritant, the day was good for trout. Pretty much any small shiny lure trolled behind the boat was sure to produce. Fish looked good too. Caught and released about a dozen fish (single, barbless hooks to make it easy) but got pretty chilly and windy so called it a day. Later that day got to see one of my nephews catch his first fish! Nice 14-16 inch rainbow, on his first cast with a bobber and salmon egg, about three feet from the dock! Never seen anything like that before.

Looking forward to hitting the lake again when it warms up a bit.

Was at Margaret Mon , big Dodge ram PU (GREY) pulled in right next to the water .....must be the same one you saw. Was the lady fishing with a pink pole ? Rude any way !

yea i was there also, yellow duroboat. margaret is up cherry valley road in duvall. fish are always hitting there.

yep, same couple. Just rude. The lake homeowners have hired a deputy to deal with people up there violating any local codes or laws, so if they get out of control just let the deputy on patrol know, or call the sheriff's office. I am pretty sure yelling at people, and parking next to the water at a state fishing lot might not be illegal, but could be. I know there are "no parking" signs on a large portion of that lot, and picking fights (especially with 6 year olds.) is pretty weak. Plus...if you fish from a BOAT LAUNCH you are going to have to deal with people in BOATS.
