Fished from my float tube to the left of the boat launch. Not having any success with my fly rod and catching a few fish on lures. Saw a gentleman catching a lot of trout on a fly. Asked him which of my flies would work. He was kind enough to give me one of his flies. From 11:00 to 2:00 I was able to catch and release over 15 rainbows all unharmed, even with the strong winds. The largest was 13 inches averaged length was 11 inches. We enjoyed catching trout together for a couble of hours. Always wanted to have a day like this on a fly rod...conversion to fly fishing has started after 30 years of spincasting. Thanks to the friendly coaching and generous gift I will always remember this day. Went back the next day and cought 7 trout in 1 1/2 hours, with the same fly. The fly was green with a red bead.
