Took the kids for some swimming and then some fishing. The hike was very easy and the lake was very pretty. All though I saw fish surface feeding, I couldn't get A bite on the never fail rooster tail. I also tried tossing a silver and blue Kastmaster. I gave up to join the kids for a swim. ( I've been spoiled by other alpine lakes ). A float tube and or a fly set up would prob. yield better results. The kids and i enjoyed the small beach and only saw 2 other people (a man and his son) the 3 hours we were there . A semi private beach on 80 Degree day , No fish caught AND NO Complaints .
