My uncle took me out on lake sammamish to do some pre-spawn largie and smallie fishing. We got on the lake about 1:55 p.m. We started out shooting across the lake then just cruising along the bank second cast using a football head jig he locked on a largie that spit his bait then we kept moving along the shore to see 6 more largies averaging from 2-3 lbs. Landed our jigs right on them and they wouldn't take it, they were very lethargic we didn't spook them they would just slowly move about 3 ft. The water temp. was 55.5 degrees all day after about 1 hour we started see nests and started going for smallies ended up landing about 6 or 7 nice size smallies. Had a great day of fishing very cloudy but the rain held out and we had an amazing time.
