The three of us launched my 14' Smokercraft with 9.9 horse Mercury at 6:45 am. Started trolling with a variety at first. I had a cowbell pop gear lure with a night crawler. Mike was using pop gear with a mepps rainbow spinner. Kai was using a prism triple teaser. In the first 10 minutes my line was cut by some good guys bringing Mikes coffee he had left on shore. Kai caught a 14" in Rainbow in the first 15 minutes and over the next hour he caught 2 10" keepers and 2 8" fish we released. Mike caught 1 10" keeper in that first hour. Things slowed down for the next hour, but during that time we watched a bald eagle scoop a fish out of the lake. I switched to a copper triple teaser for the rest of the day. I proceeded to slay them. I never had my line in the water for more than 10 minutes before I had anothe fish on. I kept 1 14" and 2 10" rainbows and released a bunch of 8 and 9 inchers. Then we got one more wildlife show, an osprey hit the water 15 yards from us completely submerged and came out with a fish in his talons. We had a great morning and we were out by 11 am with 6 nice keepers.
