Went out about 5pm. The weather was beautiful out. Launched from the southeast side of the lake just south of Silcox Island. I trolled the southern end of the lake till about 8pm. Had a couple nibbles early on a yellow wedding ring with a worm but nothing to aggressive. As I made it to the west side of the lake I changed to a Rooster tail with a pink power bait salmon egg on the hook. Two minutes later I had a fish on. It was a little guy about 7" or so. That was the last hit on my rooster tail. I switched back to a wedding ring but red this time. Again had lots of nibbles and went through the worms. As the evening progressed the fish were jumping all around me and the other boats. I stayed with the red wedding ring since it seem to be getting bites on it. All in all I landed only 3 trout, two 7" and a 9". Kind of slow out there but it was nice out and I kept getting bites for most of the evening. Talked with another guy at the launch and he and his partner caught about 10 but said they were all small.
