My son and I decided it was time for a day of fishing so we headed down Malaga way to meadow Lake. Launched ( by hand) our eight foot livingston at about 9:00AM. First we tried to troll with beetle spins and berkley gulp minnows for about fourty five minutes. Nothing! So we switched to jigs and worms and a bobber close to shore. Nothing! The carp sure gave us a show though. They were jumping next to the boat and making the cattails sway back and fourth as they were feeding in them. We then tried to go out to the middle of the lake to find deeper water but everywhere we stopped it wasn't very deep ( forgot my Fishfinder). I haven't figured this lake out yet but I'm sure there is spiney ray in there. Next time I will remember my fish finder and hopefully that will help. Also I'm not sure if the carp help things either. If anybody has some information their willing to share, my son and I would sure appreciate it. Good luck everyone.
