5/11/2010 5:16:00 PMYes. It wasn't listed on the pamphlet as restricted, so I took it home. I didn't realize until later that it's on the "do not eat" list from the health department. It's now filleted, in my freezer, waiting for me to figure out what to do with the meat. I try a small bite before that, and actually thought it was pretty good.
I was thinking about using the meat as bait, could anyone advise on this? is it worth it at all?

5/11/2010 9:58:00 PMYou could haul it over to Lake Chelan and do some damage on a laker!! I know that is too far to go to use the pike minnow for bait ............but it was the first thing that came to mind, so there you go then. Pretty sure raw is better than cooked when using the pike minnow for bait.

5/12/2010 10:30:00 AMThey work great for crab and crayfish bait. I have also had success using the meat to tip my lures for cutts and perch. Belly strips from most any fish is a great bait by itself, you might want to try it on some salt water species like lings, flounder or halibut.
