This Lake is the best spot to fish in Clark County hands down. I have been fishing here all summer long and have had the lake to myself, ( which is why I can't believe I'm letting you all in on my little secret!) In the last 3 days I have caught 50+ crappie with the largest at 13", that's not a typo there are some really nice sized crappie in that lake.
I am most amazed by the healthy Bass population this lake has. I have caught several small Bass, but I have also caught some very nice Bass. Today I was using a watermelon seed Stick-O, and it produced some very nice results. I caught a 2lbs Largemouth that measured 16.5" and a slightly smaller 1 pounder that was just shy of 13". Those are small in comparison to the lunkers that live there. They have pulled at least 2 9 pounders out of there this summer and several 5-6 pounders. ( again I cant believe I am sharing this info!!)
Forget Silver Lake, this place is the best warmwater fishery in the STATE!
