I got on the lake at about 9:00am. The water temp was 60° at the surface and 56° at 20"

There were 3 hatches coming off as I entered the water. A sparse hatch of very large Mayflies (size 10 at least!), a dark brown chironomid and a few damsels.

I began with a size 12 Stillwater Nymph (peacock green with a light green back/tail) on sinking line. I began catching fish right at the launch and it continued for most of the day. I think I caught all of the recently planted Tigers at least once!! At least it seemed that way. I caught over 25 fish in 3 hours with all but 3 being recent planters (about 9 to 10"). The three larger ones were holdovers and averaged 16" or so. I did hook one nice (around 18") Brookie that came loose at the net. In addition to the trout I was also catching a lot of pumpkin seeds. I haven't seen this many since they rehabed the lake 10 years ago.

There were really no slow periods and I didn't change flies all day.

Tight Lines!
