Finally!!! A week ago I thought I lost everything I knew about catching bass. I fished many times from late Feb until this week. Tryed everything I had, every speed, every angle ect. Needless to say I'm more than satisfied with the last 5 days of fishing. I've been fishing lake Washington and lake Union every free second lately. I've had some great results in both. I've landed over 35 bass in the past 4-5 days in short bursts. Mostly due to slow rolling a jerk bait into anywhere I found rocks. The smallies were smashing my bait. I noticed many people drop shotting everywhere I went, so I threw on a white jerkbait and it was getting a lot of attention esp. in both lake Union channels. I set my bait caster to it's brinking point with backlashes so I could cast every last inch. I lost a few lures in the rocks but I also caught a few, ha. Today I finally caught a large mouth. Being from Texas it was refreshing. I can't tell if smallies are close to spawning or if they have a ways to go but my top 3 smallies this week were all in the 4-5ibs range. I need to buy a scale! Hope everyone's having the same luck. Also they were all released a.s.a.p. and I caught them all on land.
