Lake Evan is right at the trailhead to Boardman lake in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie Forest. I made some casts on my last trip into Boardman, but Evan is hard to fish due to the lack of shore access. This time I took my kayak, buddy took his kayak, and son was in the float tube. I managed 3 cutthroat total, 2 on dry flies, one on spinner. Buddy landed one on dries. Fish were 10-11 inches and a blast to catch on the surface. Beautiful, quiet place...I'll be back!
