Fished Williams lake again for the fishing derby at Klinks. Showed up at the launch at 5 a.m. The water was foggy and flat, fished for a bit before registering with good results. After the register process headed back out, my buddy Traci landed a 3 lber right off. Took me a few times of re-tying my gear before I hit a 2.5 lber. then all the boats started to show up and fishing started to get tight. We trolled around for a few more hours landing just smaller fish round ten to twelve inches. More boats showed up and fishing slowed significantly, called it about 12:30 and headed back for the final weigh in and prizes. Traci took 3rd place and won a throphy, not bad for her first time. Me.... well.... I should try not to lose so much gear. Headed back out around two and it was still slow from all the other boats and activities on the lake. Caught a few more before heading to the resort for dinner.
