After catching a few crappies and LMB at Wapato, I stopped for a few casts at Roses. The breeze was stiff, with cloud cover at the time. I have never had much luck fishing Roses of the morning, but had to make a few casts while in the area. I hooked up a 1/32 oz jig, made a few casts and decided it was too light for the conditions. I then tied on a 1/16 oz jighead, a smoke and glitter tube with a crappie nibble. I was getting light hits on most every cast but could not connect the steel to lip. I then rigged up a slip bobber with the jig, and cast out and let the wave action do its work. I started hooking into small blugill with the bobber set up. The hits were still verry light, but with the bobber the presentation stayed in the target zone better than with the jig alone. The bluegills were 4-6 inches and wasn't able to catch many of them, but that's about what I expected given the time of the day and conditions. It was good to get in a few casts before having to continue on home. There were not many people fishing at this time of day, so I was able to find shore access. It was a good day as I had fished two bodies of water, and got to feel the yank on the line. Tight lines, sharp hooks, and hungry fish.

Hey AFK, the big boys are there and willing, but later in the day. we've always had to wait until 9-10AM (later on cloudy days) for the bite to turn on in this body of water, so go get em. Look forward to seeing ya on the water soon.

Hey blufin, You should give Dry a shot. Have been doing well for all three species(perch, bluegill, and crappie). Love hearing your reports, so keep them coming. Thanks and go make some good memories.

Hi ya Toddy18, In years past we fished Dry frequently and like you said, catchin all three species. After we got a bigger boat it is difficult to put in at dry, and my fishin rod ain't long enough to fish over the toulees from shore. LOL.
Your reports on the dry lake makes me want to get back on it though, it has some great fishin.
