My 0 for Alder continues!
6 trips, ZERO bites, ZERO fish, ZERO patience remaining, ZERO humor!

Nice day, though. Saw 6 bass in the flooded grass shallows.

Highlight of the day: Was fishing and heard a huge splash behind me. Looked over and an Osprey took flight with what looked like a Crappie, about 7 or 8 inches long. I thought that was cool, wish I had seen him dive in there after the fish. Turned back and took a cast and heard this very loud SSSSWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH over my head, my first thought, no lie, was that it was a jet, looked up and this Bald Eagle was about 200 feet up, wings folded in and diving at like a 45 degree angle or steeper. It had to be going 80 plus. He dove right towards the Osprey that was trying to make a get away about 70 yards from me and about 30 feet above the water. That Eagle dove right in and the Osprey knew that he was in trouble and let the fish go, splash, into the water.

Osprey flew off and the Eagle landed in a tree pretty close to where I was. Not a huge deal, but I thought it was pretty exciting, at least as exciting as it gets for me when I fish this lake:(

Can't blame the Eagle for that. With them having to put up with the crows, they probably want to take it out on everything. Makes me wish I had a shotgun in the boat sometimes so I could shoot all the crows when they pester the Eagles.

thats funny because i was fishing bradley lake and saw the same thing last summer. A bald eagle going after an osprey. I wonder whats up with that behavior.
