Went to Manson for my oldest niece's wedding and took the boat along figuring I might get in some time on the lake. Blew a tire on the trailer going over Stevens Pass Friday and learned that the jack on my wife's Expedition is too tall to go under the axle and wouldn't extend high enough on the frame to get the spare on. Had to improvise.

Fished for about an hour on Saturday with my daughter Megan. Missed two good hits before hooking a 9.9 pounder that she reeled in. It went back to the bottom twice on her. Hit it on the West end of "Mac Bar". Also hit 2-3 smaller fish on the saddle between the bowls out from Wapato Point. Picked up the family and took a boat ride to the wedding location, just past the Yacht Club on the Manson side. Tied up and chatted for a while, then headed back. Rounding the corner, we hit 30+ mile an hour winds and 3-4 foot waves. We struggled into Manson Bay Marina and tied the boat up as best we could. Walked back to the motel, cleaned up and went to the wedding. It was done on a deck overlooking the lake near sunset, very cool!

Got another hour in Sunday morning by myself before the family woke up. Got a 5 pounder and a 3 pounder on Mac Bar with a jig, then headed in for breakfast with the family at Blueberry Hill, which does a great breakfast! Pulled the boat and headed home. Too much work for a couple hours of fishing, but who said fishermen were smart!
