Well here we go again.The fishing was fast and easy got there at 5 am left at 5:15 am limits of planter trout. Didn't even have to wait to put the pole in the holder they were biting on the drop. The funny thing is there was only 2 other people there besides me and my bro inlaw. The one guy who is always there with his row boat with the cat in it yes a cat. Darn thing stands on the bow just like a dog would. The easiest way to fish here is to have a long leader at least 6' long it seems to put the bait up in the water where the fish can see it. Cast as far out as you can let the line drop to the bottom." If the fish will let that happen " and tighten it up. The bait colors didn't seem to matter yellow orange pink green we caught them on all of those. Gonna have to fire up the smoker this week!!!!!

The older gentleman with the cat is really great, we met him 4 or 5 years ago when he had this large orange tabby out in the boat. The next year he didn't have the cat, we asked and he said it had passed away. we were really saddend by this but the next time he had another one(I think it was black and white) and he said it was the son of his other cat, really brightened up our day for sure, must be in the genes!I pulled a 7 1/2 lb. trout out of here in the Fall a few years back., really beautiful fish, not a triploid, prob. a steelhead planted in the spring, great fighting and eating fish, nice red meat after eating bugs all summer.
