Went to Pine Lake from 12-2:15 today. Caught two and lost two. Gentleman at the other end of the dock caught four. Mine were caught on an ultra-light setup with bites happening during a slow retrieval. His catches seemed to happen on casting as far out as possible and waiting.

A lot of fun for a short period of time. However schools are starting to get out and we had to share the dock with ten to twelve high schoolers. They were loud but had enough common sense to jump on the land side of the dock. I suspect that this time next week Pine Lake will be swamped with kids out on summer break.

Can anyone recommend another lake in King county to go to during the day?

Try Green Lake on the west side by the stadium

I fished out at pine all summer even with the swimmers it can still produce. The mornings out on that lake are always peaceful.

I went to pine today around 7 pm caught one reeling in with power bait paste rolled up like a worm. Its a mess with all the kids out there . The other day there was a bunch of them with inner tubes decided to jump into the fishing area and swim. Then some college kids that live on the lake were all drunk drove there dock boat across everyones lines and snaggged like 5 lines and mooned everyone.

Beaver Lake* has almost no swimming most of the time.
