Fished with a buddy of mine on sawyer with lots of bites. We caught many of dinks. Got 2 fish about a pound each. My buddy hooked a big boy in the first 5 minutes we got out there. He hooked the fish with his trout rod that had 6lb line on it. He was using a torpedo topwater when hooked and didnt set the hook when that fish smashed it. He is a beginner at fishing. The fish shook the hook about 15 seconds later. I feel bad for him because he had the biggest fish hooked today and has never caught a bass over 2lbs. First time out to sawyer this year without a 2+ pounder. Also caught a decent bow on the torpeto about 17 inches. Crankbaits was not working to well today and always get em on cranks there on sawyer. I have been spoiled on sawyer this year but not today. My expectations are a little to high but thats the way i am.
