Spent an hour before sunset fishing Lake Cortez from my canoe. I hooked seven largemouth bass and landed six. I used a flipping jig and a regular 1/8 oz jig with a curly tail grub, retrieved slowly, for success.

None of the bass were huge, the two biggest ones were about 1 1/4 pounds. Having said that - it was still a great way to end the day!
