Headed out towards the evening 6:30ish or so after coming back from the Puyallap Meeker Festival. Had the gear in the back and still needed to get rid of some worms. So took a detour to Cassidy Lake because I haven't caught anything in the past couple of days so I was going after whatever would bite (a pride thing I guess). My pole was already rigged with with an egg singer and about a foot and half liter so I just put on a 1/0 octapus red hook with a worm on it see if I could at least get into some bluegill or something (the pride thing again!!). After being there for about 15 minutes, I hooked into a juvenile largemouth (about 8in or so) and once I got him close, I gave the pole to my 2 year old daughter and told her, "You got a fish, reel em in," but by that time, he got off after about 45 minutes and many bites later, I caught about a 11 or 12 in rainbow. There was another couple out there fishing too, using chartreuse powerbait that hooked about the same size rainbow. Overall, it was a pretty good day for everybody. I haven't been down there much, but to my understanding, the lake is a little high right now. I'm still trying to figure out the trout, salmon, and steelhead methods after a background of bass, catfish, redfish, and speckled trout fishing.

I just bought an emmrod today, so hopefully I will have good reports in the future with my emmrod! Have a great day and Happy Fishing!!!!!!

Nick
