Arrived Fish Lake @ 9:30 AM. Checked into the Resort office (5$ to launch anything that floats) asked how the fishing had been. The lady at the desk told me it was really slow over Labor Day.
A few fish were rising and the Osprey were getting a fish on every dive.
Started by trolling a red wedding ring with a worm. Caught 4 trout 5-6" right away.
Rowed to the deep side of the lake and anchored in 20' of water just off a point. I'm really starting to like the green garlic marshmallows and worms. First cast out hooked a fish before it could sink to the bottom. Another little one.
Hooked and released another 6 little ones before I hooked a nice 14" Rainbow.
Ended up with two nice fish for the day.
Trolled a green Carey Special fly tipped with a chunk of worm back to the resort. Had at least 15 strikes but couldn't get the hook to set.
Another great day of fishing.
