Got to the lake at about 6:30 a.m.-Water temp 59 to 68 degrees-Water clarity muddy (1 foot visibility) to murky (3 foot visibility)-weather conditions foggy in morning with a little overcast until later sun burnt fog off but skies still a little overcast-Air temp 74 degrees-Depth most fish found 2 to 3 foot-location shore line between salad and Lilly pads-most productive lure pumpkin seed color Rage Toad buzzed on top with a moderate speed to fast short bursts when retrieved back to boat- Had multiple strikes today which tore up frogs that I have duplicated for my own use which float unlike the factory. I have found for this lure for more hook ups is to use a trailer hook that is shorter than the legs so as not to interfere with action of legs. I let the trailer hook hang freely and it does not snag on limbs, logs,Grasses, lily pads, etc. while buzzing over and through this type of structure..Largest fish for day that was landed was 4lbs.12 ozs. All fish caught for day was released unharmed. My buddy Ole was on the lake today too with his largest fish about 3 pounds caught with a Bandit crankbait off the rocks. Dave Newby
